Summer Discovery Partners with ApplyWise to Offer Students Assistance with College Admissions

College Discovery Pre-Enrichment Program Now includes Unlimited Access to ApplyWise

New York, NY (April 22, 2009) -- ApplyWise (www.applywise.com), the first online college admissions counseling program, has announced a partnership with Summer Discovery, an organization that offers pre-college enrichment programs for high school students. The joint venture will make it easier for high school students in Summer Discovery's programs to successfully navigate through the stressful college admissions process, even after the summer ends.

"By taking the initiative over the summer to study areas on interest, Summer Discovery students are already getting a head start on college admissions," says Dr. Katherine Cohen, founder and CEO of IvyWise and ApplyWise.com. "The ApplyWise-Summer Discovery partnership gives these students access to expert advice and helps lead them through the next steps in the college admission process."

All College Discovery students and their parents will receive unlimited access to the ApplyWise 6-Pack program during the College Discovery program. Leading college admissions experts from the ApplyWise team will conduct workshops on college admissions at several of the Summer Discovery campuses this summer including Georgetown University, University of Pennsylvania and Northeastern University. ApplyWise and Summer Discovery are also developing a mini-boot camp for high school juniors and seniors in New York.

The partnership includes a community service component. ApplyWise and Summer Discovery are providing pro-bono services and programs to NY Yankees star Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation. The foundation created the Jeter's Leaders initiative to promote healthy lifestyles, academic achievement and social change activism among high school students. The Summer Discovery Program provides scholarships to memebers of Jeter's Leaders. ApplyWise will now provide College Readiness Workshops to Jeter's Leaders members during the year and free unlimited access to ApplyWise's online college admissions counseling program.
