Tuition includes: Term fees, academic and enrichment program, use of facilities, housing, 2 meals daily while on campus (1 meals on weekends), recreation access, activities, trips and excursions per catalog.
Not included: Airfare, airport/Amtrak transfers (Available for $40 each way), books and classroom materials, course supplements, meals eaten off campus, medical expenses, laundry, souvenirs, and personal spending money ($100-$150 per week suggested).
Emerson offers intramural, recreational, and fitness opportunities. All Summer Discovery students may enjoy a membership to the on-campus Fitness Center, which offers state-of-the-art training equipment. In the event that the Fitness Center, Brown and Plofker Gyms, and Rotch Field are not available, alternative gym membership will be offered to all students.
The Emerson College Fitness Center (ECFC) Located within the Little Building, this 10,000-square-foot facility is furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, and professionally trained staff members to help you create a fitness plan tailored to your lifestyle. The ECFC is the hub for recreation at Emerson: intramural and club sports, drop-in recreation, wellness and group exercise programs. The fitness center offers a variety of exercise equipment, including stair climbers, treadmills, elliptical machines, upright and recumbent exercise bikes, cross-country ski machines, and rowing ergometers. Group exercise classes feature spinning, circuit, cardio sculpt, boot camp, yoga, flexibility, core conditioning, and Pilates.
The Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym Opened in September 2006, this state-of-the-art facility is available to students for basketball and volleyball. Basketballs and other equipment can be picked up from the Facility Manager in Athletics prior to using the gym.
Rotch Field The field at Rotch Playground has a lighted FieldTurf surface, excellent for soccer and lacrosse. The field also has a softball diamond great for a pick up game.
