Open to students completing grades 9, 10, 11, & 12.

Tuition includes: Term fees, academic program, use of facilities, housing, 2 meals daily while on campus (1 meals on weekends), recreation access, activities and trips.

Not included: Application fee, $70 student ID/technology fee, airfare, airport transfers (available for $75 each way), class materials, course supplements, meals eaten off campus, medical expenses, laundry, linens, souvenirs, and personal spending money.

Marketing & Advertising Institute

    • 2-Week Marketing and Advertising Institute:  Summer Discovery is proud to collaborate with Emerson College to provide an exceptional Marketing and Advertising Institute on the Emerson campus. Students will gain valuable knowledge in the fields of marketing and advertising. Students are housed in the beautiful air-conditioned residence halls of Emerson College.

Students will take part in afternoon and evening activities, many weekend off campus excursions, college visits, and sports and recreation with the larger Summer Discovery program.

      In the Marketing and Advertising Institute, students will be introduced to marketing and advertising principles, and the role of marketing and advertising play in contemporary society, in the business enterprise, and in profit and nonprofit organizations.

      Topics include:
      •the essential elements of “strategy” necessary for the effective marketing campaign;
      •the basic concepts and practices of marketing’s 5Ps
      •understanding the marketing mix;
      •the basic concepts and practices of advertising
      •creating an advertising campaign; and
      •the role of traditional and new media and the basics of media planning.

      Due to the time commitment involved with this program, no other classes may be taken in conjunction with the Marketing and Advertising Institute.
