Join us on a community service program at one of four campuses in the USA. On all US campuses, students live in a university residence hall as part of the greater Summer Discovery program with high school students from all over the USA and around the world. Partake in great extra-curricular activities, recreation, and excursions with the Summer Discovery program. Certificates of Completion listing hours served are awarded upon completion of the program. 3 Week Community Service for Students Completing Grades 9,10,11,12

Why UCLA?

Make a difference in sunny California! Volunteer with us at UCLA, and around suburban Los Angeles and earn approximately 40-45 hours of community service. Enjoy priceless opportunities working with the Venice Boys and Girls Club mentoring underprivileged kids, preserving marine life at the UCLA Ocean Discovery Center, restore the beautiful coastline with “Heal The Bay,” create a carnival for a pediatric AIDS organization, help serve food at the Penny Lane Family Center or Covenant House, and work with many other organizations.

DiscoveryWorks Community Service

3 week non-credit program meets Monday-Thursday, both morning and afternoon, for 5 hours total per day (hours may vary depending on project). Students in this program enjoy evening activities, college visits, UCLA recreation privileges and great weekend excursions with the rest of the Summer Discovery group.
