Tuition includes: Term fees, full academic and enrichment program, breakfast and lunch or dinner daily, flight from Beijing to Shanghai, International SOS supplemental medical/health service, Jiao Tong University recreation privileges, activities, trips and excursions per catalog, blanket and pillow, and linens with weekly exchange.

Not included: Airfare to/from China, airport transfers (available for $60 each way), China visa (info sent upon enrollment), books and classroom materials, course supplements, $395 fee per course for optional college credit courses, one meal daily, medical expenses, laundry, souvenirs, and personal spending money (approximately $100-$150 per week suggested).

 

China - Typical Weekday

  • 7:30-9:00am

    Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast at SJTU Boxuelou Hotel.

  • 9:30-11:30am

    Morning College Credit or Enrichment Class. Classes meet Monday-Friday.

  • 11:30-1:30pm

    Enjoy lunch with your friends at a variety of Chinese, American and International restaurants around campus. Grab a coffee or a bubble tea before afternoon class.

  • 1:30-3:30pm

    Afternoon College Credit or Enrichment class. Classes meet Monday-Friday.

  • 4:00-6:00pm

    Afternoon Activity and Recreation Time

    A choice of 3-10 activities daily, included in tuition: pick-up soccer, work-out time, museum visits, homework time, community service projects, arts & crafts, excursions and activities.

  • 6:30-8:00pm

    Tons of options for Dinner.

    Dinners are a mix of family-style group meals and Chinese and Western choice meals. We eat everything from dumplings to Shanghai noodles to Peking duck!

  • 8:00pm-?

    SUMMER DISCOVERY Prime Time

    A choice of 3-5 evening activities both on and off campus included in tuition: Movies, karaoke, bowling, acrobat show, Chinese Hip Hop class, caligraphy workshop, guest speakers, cooking class, Chinese opera, local scavenger hunt, dumpling making party, basketball game, study time, work-out time, and much more.

  • 11:00pm-12:00am
    Students in the Residence Hall, Followed by Hang Time, Late-Night Munchies, Friends & Fun
