Tuition includes: Term fees, full academic and enrichment program, breakfast and lunch or dinner daily, flight from Beijing to Shanghai, International SOS supplemental medical/health service, Jiao Tong University recreation privileges, activities, trips and excursions per catalog, blanket and pillow, and linens with weekly exchange.
Not included: Airfare to/from China, airport transfers (available for $60 each way), China visa (info sent upon enrollment), books and classroom materials, course supplements, $395 fee per course for optional college credit courses, one meal daily, medical expenses, laundry, souvenirs, and personal spending money (approximately $100-$150 per week suggested).
China - Sports & Recreation
Unlike most urban Chinese university campuses, Jiao Tong has a tree-lined campus with outdoor playing fields, tennis courts, a running track and an indoor gymnasium for basketball. There are sport areas on campus featuring facilities that promote a full range of sports at different levels. Summer Discovery students will share these facilities with university students. Hours/days of access will vary.
Facilities & Activities
A short subway ride from our residence, there is a private facility called Lakeville Regency, a modern recreation center with a myriad of opportunities for sports and activities. Facility access will be arranged on select days. Options include:
